| June Bisantz received her Masters of Fine Arts degree in painting from Claremont Graduate University in California. She has lived and worked in Boston, Los Angeles and New York City. Her work as a commercial artist and illustrator has appeared in Esquire and Vanity Fair Magazines and her paintings, collages and multimedia pieces have been shown in galleries and museums including the Brooklyn Museum in NY, the Discovery Museum, Bridgeport, CT, the Benton Museum, University of Connecticut, The New Britain Museum for American Art, the Copley Society of Art, Boston, the Kohn Turner Gallery, Los Angeles, the Painting Center and A.I.R. Galleries, New York City and Gallerie Alexi in Budapest. Since 1999, she has been the recipient of grants and commissions to support her public projects including grants from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism, the Connecticut State University System, the Berkshire Artist Trust Fund, the Te Womens Foundation, ArtSpace, NewHaven and the Pittsfield Cultural Council. Ms. Bisantz is also a musician and has co-produced several collections of original jazz, all of which have received national recognition.
